A Divorce Full of Contradictions
Navigating a divorce is never an easy journey, and for The Real Housewives of Miami’s Alexia Nepola, the emotional rollercoaster has been especially complicated. Throughout Season 7, she has openly shared her mixed emotions about her ex-husband, Todd Nepola, revealing a relationship that remains emotionally entangled even after they filed for divorce.
One of the most shocking moments came in Episode 15 when it was revealed that Alexia had been intimate with Todd just days before the cast’s group cruise. The revelation sparked intense reactions from the other “Wives” during a dinner conversation. When Kiki Barth asked, “When was the last time any of you got laid?” all eyes turned to Alexia, who admitted that her current sex life was the topic of interest among the group.
Marysol Patton then added, “Just tell us with who,” prompting Kiki to ask, “Wait, do you know something we don’t know?” That’s when Alexia confessed that her most recent intimate encounter was with Todd. “I only have one sexual partner. The last time we saw each other was probably Wednesday or Thursday night,” she said on the September 11 episode.
Lisa Hochstein and Guerdy Abraira called out the situation as a “booty call,” but Alexia took issue with the term. “It’s not a booty call, because he’s my husband,” she explained, adding, “It’s not the walk of shame, because he’s my husband.” Julia Lemigova pointed out that the recent trip to Seville, Spain—intended to distract Alexia from Todd—was clearly ineffective. In her confessional, she noted, “Alexia had sex two days ago? So clearly our plan to get her thoughts away from Todd didn’t work out so well.”
Rekindling the Relationship
During a dinner at Marysol’s house on the same episode, Alexia hinted at the possibility of rekindling her relationship with Todd. She told her best friend, “Soon, we’ll be all going out together again ... I’m hoping for that.” When Marysol asked if she was referring to Todd, Alexia coyly replied, “maybe.”
Marysol expressed both excitement and concern about the idea, explaining that she and her husband, Steve McNamara, were hesitant about a reconciliation. “She’s ready for a double date. But Steve, Steve’s still like, ‘Wow.’ He doesn’t like the way that he treated her. Now we gotta, you know, him again?” she questioned in her confessional.
Despite these concerns, Alexia insisted she was past the hurt with Todd. “It was very hurtful. I’m not gonna lie. It’s painful. It was painful for him also,” she said at dinner. “When you love each other, it’s hard to know the other person is in pain.” She also emphasized that she would move forward with trying to reconcile, regardless of Marysol’s approval. “Of course I want Marysol to support my decision to be with Todd and spend time with Todd, but it’s not up to her. This is my relationship. At this point, it should only be between him and I. Because we’re really putting in the effort to make things work.”
Family Concerns
The tension continued as Marysol asked during the episode whether Alexia’s son, Peter Rosello, was moving in a good direction with Todd. The two had a history of conflict even before Alexia and Todd married. “No, because this happened so quickly between Todd and I that we haven’t talked about it. But, you know, he knows I talk with Todd,” Alexia answered.
However, the RHOM Season 7 midseason trailer suggested more family drama ahead. Peter’s brother, Frankie, voiced his opposition to the reconciliation, stating, “If she decides to get back with Todd, that’s not fair for Frankie. I don’t want Frankie living with someone that doesn’t really give a s–t.”
What’s Next for Alexia and Todd?
As of March 2025, Alexia and Todd are officially divorced, nearly a year after filing. While Alexia told PEOPLE at the time, “While our marriage has ended, our relationship has not,” her tone changed by July when she told Entertainment Tonight, “We are not talking. We are in no contact.”
Despite the official end of their marriage, fans continue to speculate about what might come next. With hints of upcoming drama at a “historic” RHOM reunion, it seems the story of Alexia and Todd’s complicated relationship is far from over.
