Resident Alien Season 4 Premiere Recap: Was Harry Able to Bust Out of Alien Jail? (Grade It!)
Patience, Colo. is in some serious trouble. Harry's still in jail, an evil Mantid is impersonating him around town and the Greys are still after Kate and her baby. But with Mike on medical leave (say what?!) and Harry in space, who's gonna save the day?
As the Season 4 premiere of Resident Alien begins (reminder: new episodes will stream on Peacock one week after air), some serious time has passed since Harry was tricked into his prison cell by the promise of ooey-gooey pizza. (We all have our soft spots.) But as evidenced by his growth of facial hair and the deflated look on his face, he's in a serious pickle. But his imprisonment isn't the only wowing change Patience is facing. Asta sleeps with Joseph, who claims he's not working with the Greys anymore, and D'arcy (little "A"!) still has Kate and Ben's baby, knowing that the Greys aren't finish abducting the Hawthornes. Kate can't wait for the next time she's abducted. In fact, she's training hard for it because she knows that in order to get her baby back, she's gonna have to go full Ellen Ripley.

When we check in on Sheriff Mike, he's stuffing his face at the diner. He's on medical leave because he thinks he's been hallucinating. He still won't admit that he saw an alien being. The government claims there was a radiation leak, and despite Liv telling him it was a cover up, he just won't believe her. Shocker.
Harry catches a break. A grey named Bruce (he picked the name himself after Earth's No. 1 movie star, Bruce Dern - sure!), says he'll do "literally anything" to visit Earth. That alien also has the keys to Harry's cell. When Bruce returns later with some Girl Scout Cookies (samoas, which are obviously the best ones - non-negotiable!), Harry and Robert tease the alien by talking up Earth some more. After promising to bring Bruce home with them, the Grey lets them out of their cells and off they go toward the escape ships. (Hooray! We can't leave Harry trapped in prison all season long, dangit!)

Liv, meanwhile, is feeding the Alien Tracker, despite the fact that he's a large robot man who doesn't even have a stomach anymore. However, Peter refuses to tell her any specific information because he doesn't want to put her in any danger. More dead ends for Liv… for now.
Back at his cabin, "Harry" makes a move on Asta. She freaks and runs outside, right into Max and Sahar. The kids accuse her of working with the Mantid before, well, the Mantid crashes their party and holds them all captive. Before he (it?) can eat their heads (Mantids only eat heads - I know, super gross), the real Harry V. enters to save the day, only he seems to have lost his alien powers. Max even sees him as just a regular bearded guy! After Harry tries and fails to revert back to his alien form, Max tasers the Mantid and they all flee in Asta's car.
At least Harry is back, right? So what did you think of the premiere? Grade it below, then light up the comments!
