Davis's rapid ascent in the lightweight division included winning his first world title in February in just his 14th professional bout. Davis defeated then-champion Denys Berinchyk in dominant fashion , scoring a fourth-round knockout to join the likes of Gervonta Davis , Shakur Stevenson and Vasily Lomachenko as lightweight belt holders.
Davis returns to Norfolk for the first time since 2023, when he defeated Gustavo Lemos in front of over 10,000 fans.
"My first main event at Scope Arena was like something out of a movie and the sequel will be even better," Davis said in April.
